Second Print

For my second print on the Creality K2 Plus, I decided to try something fun and simple—a mini traffic cone model I downloaded from Creality Cloud. After the excitement of my first successful print, I wanted to focus on refining my process, from slicing to finishing. The model was perfect for testing both print quality and color settings without taking too long to complete. I imported the file into CrealityPrint, adjusted the layer height for smoother detail, and prepared the filament for a multicolor experiment that would make this little cone pop with personality.

Using CrealityPrint’s multicolor painting tools, I assigned vibrant Creality hyper PLA orange and Creality hyper PLA white sections directly on the 3D model before slicing. The software made it surprisingly easy to visualize the color transitions, giving me a better understanding of how layer changes would appear in the final print. Watching the K2 Plus bring that color plan to life was incredibly satisfying—each layer built seamlessly, and the color contrast came out even better than expected. The cone’s clean lines and smooth finish showed just how precise the printer could be when properly calibrated.

This small project was a big confidence boost. It reminded me how every print, no matter how simple, is an opportunity to learn and improve. I gained a better sense of how filament color changes work and how to fine-tune settings for sharper, cleaner transitions. The mini traffic cone now sits proudly on my desk—not just as a fun print, but as a symbol of progress and the growing possibilities of my 3D printing journey with the Creality K2 Plus.
